Abstract

La présente invention concerne, dans l'un de ses aspects, une méthode d'administration d'un produit comprenant de la matière sèche de cacao, de la poudre de cacao ou un extrait contenant des polyphénols de cacao, pour améliorer la fonction endothéliale. Les compositions sans sucre et les méthodes d'utilisation desdites compositions présentent une amélioration synergique des bénéfices obtenus au niveau cardio-vasculaire, par comparaison avec d'autres compositions. La présente invention concerne également des produits chocolatés et des boissons au cacao sans sucre préférés.
The invention provides, in one aspect, a method of administering a product comprising a cacao solids-containing, cocoa powder or extract containing cocoa polyphenols to improve endothelial function. The sugar-free compositions and methods of using them exhibit synergistically improved cardiovascular benefits compared to other compositions. Preferred sugar-free chocolate products and cocoa beverages are also disclosed.
